<Storytime>: My mind was shattered by the torment, and I ran, screaming, blindly; into furniture and walls, screaming shrilly all the while as the flames consumed my face.

<Storytime>: The screaming rose to a fever pitch as my sense returned and I realized that the only escape was in dairy... except that there were no dairy products in the house.

<Storytime>: I collapsed, as the screaming wall tapered down into nothingness-- not because of a lessening of the pain, but due to the disappearance of my voice.
<MrManley>: Where's that old CO2 fire extinguisher when ya need it?
<Storytime>: My prolonged screaming had shattered my voice into hoarse nothingness, and I was left with no means of release from the pain.

<Storytime>: I sat, curled up, for God knows how long. The pain has only now faded enough for me to rise, shakily, to my feet, occasionally convulsing and twitching, shuddering against the desk.
<Storytime>: I think I'll have another.

<BigPants>: I don't care if songs are dubbed, but if I can't stand it then I won't listen to it
<MrManley>: If you can get english lyrics that match without going way into left field to get them
<Clark>: Dub 'em if you can.
<Mahou>: I'm all for dubbed songs. At least, most of the ones I've heard were great.
<MrManley>: Otherwise, leave 'em be....
<Slavik_CC>: only funimation are still dubbing songs
<Clark>: Geoduck: I have a hunch your favorite actress will probably be in it as well.
<Geoduck>: I've heard some bad dubbed songs...the song in the second episode of the Tylor OVA was just horrible. The singing was good, but the lyrics were just bad.
<Nijhazer>: Good point there. Sometimes songs can't be dubbed for various reasons, and when they can be, it adds to the cost of production. With that in mind, do you consider dubbed songs to be something they really should try to get, or just a nice extra?

<Nijhazer>: Ah yes, the Tylor Engrish theme.
<MrManley>: Now, I liked some of the things that Pioneer did with titles like Hyperdoll and Phantom Quest Corp....
<BigPants>: Nij: A nice extra. ^^; ALTHOGUH, if the show actually has in-singing, I think it should be dubbed.
<Nijhazer>: BP: As opposed to, say, Love Hina.
<Clark>: Don't forget that some songs have to be dubbed because of the way a show is. I've seen a lot of that lately, for some reason.
<Geoduck>: Nijhazer: Interestingly, there's English versions of the Tylor OP and ED on Japanese CD's <that were not used by Right Stuf>

<BigPants>: Nij: Err, sorry. Where singing is like a main theme. Like Fancy Lala and Chance PopSession
<Nijhazer>: Love Hina did not dub songs that took place in the show. Not very sensible.

<Arcturus>: Yeah, songs that the characters themselve sing should be dubbed.

<Geoduck>: Nijhazer: They did dub a song in the Spring Special. Michelle sang. ^_^
<Arcturus>: I like how they did it in Key the Metal Idol.
<MrManley>: The Cutey Honey English was kind of strange to me....
<Geoduck>: Key the Metal Idol is probably the best example of song dubbing.
<Mahou>: Fruits Basket op and ed were done very well in english.

<Nijhazer>: The best example of dubbed songs so far in my opinion is for Fruits Basket but that was an extraordinary case I think.

<Geoduck>: Nina recorded an English version of "Rest in Peace", but evidently ADV didn't acquire it. It was probably a different rights-holder.
<Arcturus>: Rurouni Kenshin, unfortunately, did not have great opening sequences.
