Arxane: That was when the show switched from Ocean to Funi's VAs.

Arcturus: I've seen two episodes so far...the first episode was so-so, but the second episode was great.
Nijhazer: If it's better than Universe, that's a good start.
Otakuman: Universe was good
Arcturus: Universe would have been better if they had cut about half of the episodes.
Arxane: If it's better than Tenchi in Tokyo, it's got a REALLY good start
Arcturus: It had a pretty good plot, and a great ending...but too much pointless filler.
Nijhazer: Arx: That implies that Tenchi in Tokyo is particularly good
Arcturus: Although I didn't mind the swimsuit episode.

Slavik_CC: i never bought any other X dvd's, other than X:TV volume 1. they were like $50 CDN, each.

Slavik_CC: then again, almost all of the pioneer dvd's in canada cost $50 CDN.

Arcturus: However, if CLAMP's latest manga, Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles gets animated, it stands a chance
of being properly dubbed.

Arxane: Just as long as Nelvana and 4Kids stay away from it
lightningcount: ya well accordin to nelvana it wasn't there fault back when it first came out i stumbeled
across a guy at nelvana and he gave me this whole speal how wb rewined it and they dubbed it all but wb did
the splicing not sure how lagit that is
Arcturus: Slavik_CC: That seems less likely to happen than CCS
Arcturus: The difference, however, is that there are people who like how Macross was dubbed.
Slavik_CC: well, that's true...
Arxane: Nelvana tried to make CCS a guy show, which you don't do with a Shojo series
lightningcount: which was why they lissenced it to pionear while they felt the treatment they gave medabots
was apropriate
Arcturus: Arxane: Well, you could pull it off with SOME shoujo.

Arcturus: Interestingly enough, Tsubasa is appearing in a shounen magazine.

Arxane: It wasn't the dub so much as it was the horrid editing on Escaflowne
Arcturus: It takes place in an alternate universe, but the lead characters are from Cardcaptor Sakura.
Arcturus: Shaoran is the main character apparently.

Slavik_CC: i'm not a big fan of ocean dubs.
Arcturus: It has lots of other characters from other CLAmP series, though - such as Chii and Mokona.

lightningcount: well nelvana has a new seiries lisenced not sure whats gona happen w/ it grove adventure rave
Arxane: If Ocean can get good voice directors, they do pretty well. SoulTaker's a good example
Geoduck: Just about every CLAMP series crosses over with every other CLAMP series at some point.

Arcturus: I like some Ocean dubs.

Arxane: I like Paul Dobson. That guy can do a great variety of voices

least enjoyable.

get annoyed.
JK: Pants: One thing about L/R, don't judge it from the broadcast version. They completely re-did it for the
DVD.
