| MrManley | The fewer big guns you have trying to out-license each other, the better the possibility that something less-than "sure-fire" will get picked up |

| Nijhazer | A lot of the dialogue is based on concepts that are integral to Japanese culture, but not so much here |
| Koji_M | The thing I love about Mushishi is that its soooooooooo relaxing |
| OhGodKarinisHot | plus they crammed like 12 volumes of manga into 12 episodes |
| Geoduck | Weirdly, the most similar show to Mushishi that I've seen is Kamichu. Which has an entirely different tone. |
| Nijhazer | Making sense of it in English while matching the flap would be pretty grueling |
